Our Story
From a small idea to empowering hundreds of young minds
TinkerTank began when our founder, a passionate engineer and parent, noticed the gap between traditional education and the hands-on learning that truly sparks curiosity in children. Too many kids were losing interest in STEAM subjects because they seemed abstract and disconnected from real-world applications.
We started with a simple workshop in a garage, teaching a handful of neighborhood kids how to build simple robots. The enthusiasm was infectious. Kids who had never shown interest in science were suddenly asking questions, experimenting, and dreaming of becoming inventors.
Today, TinkerTank has grown into Sydney's premier destination for hands-on STEAM education. We've helped over 500 children discover their passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through engaging, age-appropriate experiences that feel more like play than learning.
